RIAA gives in

The RIAA lost a court case. Even though they dropped the charges they had to pay for the lawyer fees that not only they encountered but also the defendant's lawyer fees. I think if they are going to make such cases against citizens that they should pay for any lawyer you want up front. Then add the cost to the court settlement.
I honestly believe that people shouldn't take what doesn't belong to them. The problem is that the RIAA has spent more money trying screw the people that help them profit. I think that if they would spend more money making digital music or videos more secure that this would not be such a problem and they will stop hurting the good people that purchase their items.
In this case someone had put their pirated items on a lady's computer. So the RIAA went after her and lost. Now they have not only caught the public eye they have also proved that they are just out for other peoples money.
I think that the RIAA is using this as an avenue to make more money.
I found that I have bought some CDs that are worth buying now. They include insider stuff that you can't get from a download. At least some record labels have found out how to make it fair for the consumer. Maybe that is why those bands can have free downloads of their music.
The RIAA should take a look at Country music. Country Music stars pay more attention to their fans so the fans will help them. Country Music stars have more tours and concert than other genre. They actually work hard for their money and so do their fans.

Hmmm Interesting phrase "Work Hard"

Click Here for the story of this poor lady that got harassed by the RIAA
